Patton and I are both fighting a rough cold, so I made some delicious chunky chicken noodle soup yesterday and I feel like it put us on the road to recovery.
If you are one of the many folks fighting the flu or battling a cold, put a nice big batch of this on your stove top.
Chunky Chicken Noodle Soup
Bake a few chicken tenders for 8 minutes at 400 degrees, Meanwhile, pour an entire box of Swanson's chicken broth into a large pot along with 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add chunky chopped carrots, celery, and white onions. Once the chicken is baked, chop it up into smaller pieces and throw it into your boiling soup. Add egg noodles, some dry parsley, a little salt, and more than a little black pepper and let it all simmer until the noodles are nice and noodley and the kitchen smells like cozy goodness.
Serve it with some toasty warm hunks of sourdough bread and get well soon!
PS... you'll recover so much faster if you have someone this precious to cuddle
